My name is Shelina Somani-Pene, I hold a Bachelor of Education Degree with Full NZ Teacher Registration. To add to my passion in Education I am currently on near completion of a Masters of Indigenous Studies Degree with the key focu
s on my thesis being ‘IDENTITY’.
I have two children who have been nurtured within a home environment for most of their early years with rich learning opportunities and experiences created through curiosity and child directed exploration.
With fourteen years in the Education field, cultural diversity across the education spectrum has certainly bought a richness to my teaching approach believing that all children hold a special and unique Identity and have a purpose in the world
with talents, strengths and abilities exceeding average.
Relationships with Parents/Whanau/ Educarers and tamariki (children) stand strong within my values and is my commitment as a Education Coordinator endeavoring to provide Outstanding care and quality education which provide opportunities for tamariki to have rich learning experiences inclusive of a collective whanau relationship.
