My Philosophy and Curriculum:

I am a warm, caring, gentle person that loves cuddles and kisses.  Babies are my passion.  The smaller the better. I do enjoy the cheeky conversations of toddlers and older children.  I do love to see the transformation from a shy, introverted child, changing into a confident, playful child that joins in activities with friends.  I am a firm believer in boundaries and respect.  I dont think a child is ever too young to learn manners.  I always treat each child as if they are my own. “How would I like my child to be treated at daycare”.  I love to have open, friendly conversations with my families, and for them to feel comfortable to share any concerns with me.  I do enjoy having books and arts indoors and outdoors.  Tamariki do love to have stories outside on the picnic blanket, go for a run or bike ride, and come back to read a book.  My tamariki and families love our daily routines of outings.  We do regular outings to two different playgroups in the community.  Tamariki gets very excited when we get our bags ready to see new and familiar friends to engage with.  Different environment and activities to explore in.  In summer weather we do enjoy our trips to the Zoo, Motat and community playgrounds. Winter time, they enjoy indoor playgrounds and playdates.

I love a clean, safe, inviting and comfortable environment, where children can feel at ease to explore.  I have a good indoor, outdoor flow.  Different areas for each individual play or group activities.  Comfortable and warm sleep areas, so they can have a rest during their busy day.  Clean and accessible kitchen area to store and prepare the food.  Toilet, steps and change table for all ages to use. Spacious and safe outdoor area for tamariki to explore with sandpit, swing, climbing frame and space for bike riding, art and water activities.
