Meet Our Educators

Whagamata, Waikato
Hiya, my name is Suzanne.
I live in Whangamata with my husband Mark and our daughter Summer. I am delighted to offer home-based childcare in our community.
Since becoming a parent, I have discovered a passion for supporting young children as they learn, grow and thrive. I enjoy watching children explore their surroundings, develop new skills, and experience the world with curiosity and wonder.
Our home provides a clean, safe, loving and peaceful environment with plenty of opportunities for play-based learning. I am committed to providing high-quality care and education that supports each child’s natural eagerness to learn while encouraging confidence, independence and creativity. Every day brings new opportunities for discovery and adventure.
Our days are shaped by the interests of the children in my care. We love spending time outdoors, exploring the natural environment, playing in the sandpit, mud kitchen and garden, enjoying local walks and park visits, visiting the library and attending local Music group. On days when we are indoors, we enjoy arts and crafts, sensory play, baking, painting, card making, reading and story time. We also love creating games, organising treasure hunts and building huts and forts both inside and outside.
I believe that strong, trusting relationships are the heart of quality childcare. Creating a positive environment filled with laughter, kindness, and fun helps children feel secure, valued, and confident to be themselves.
As a family, Mark and I enjoy an active outdoor lifestyle. We spend our free time playing music, fishing, diving, hiking, and stargazing under clear night skies. Our love of nature is reflected in the experiences I provide for the children in my care.
If you feel my home-based childcare may be the right fit for your child, I would love to hear from you.
Please contact Jemma’s to arrange a visit or to learn more about the care and learning opportunities I offer.
