Lara

Tena koutou katoa
Ko Lara toku ingoa, Ko Ngapuhi me Te Arawa oku Iwi, engari  e noho ana au ki Tokoroa.  Nga mihi mahana ki a koutou.

I am a mum of four grown children and two beautiful mokopuna.  I have taught in ECE centres for about 16 years teaching in mainstream, bilingual and kaupapa maori and also Punanga reo Kuki Airani.  I have a Diploma of Teaching ECE and I also have a full teachers registration.  I believe that it takes a whanau to nurture and raise a child so both children and adults feel supported.  I enjoy being with whanau and friends, kapahaka, singing and music, creative art, cooking and summer  holidays.  I welcome the opportunity to teach and nurture tamariki and their whanau in my home in a safe, warm, friendly and fun environment.  I have moderate te reo maori skills and a good knowledge of tikanga Maori.  I am comfortable learning about different ethnic culture and meeting people from all walks of life. I am confident and experienced with very young infants and can support new parents.  I also have personal experience in working with tamariki with special needs and I welcome their special talents.

No reira, Nau mai haere mai ki toku kainga o “Whaea Lara’s Place, Homebased Edu-care.”

Our Educarers are recruited using a very strong selection process

We take the safety of your child very seriously.  Each and every one of our Educarers is thoroughly checked using our recruitment vetting system.  Part of this system requires all Educarers to have a squeaky clean police record and a full medical assessment.
Further to this, Co-ordinators (who are all fully qualified and registered early childhood teachers) complete a full assessment of every property to ensure that it meets Ministry of Education safety requirements.
